Hello from the other side of the world :)
We took it easy this morning, still hoping to shake the flu...but decided we would adventure downtown this afternoon to view the Brooklyn Bridge!
Whilst we were walking we started to notice something glinting in the air, little white flecks that were cold, a little bit wet, yet lighter than rain drops...
I T I S S N O W I N G I N N E W Y O R K !!
We were SO excited and it made our Brooklyn Bridge experience that much more magical :)
(Massive thankyou to the Kahika's who left us their warm jackets...they are perfect!)
We could see this building in the distance...it kindly informed us that it was -1°C brrrrrrrr!
Can you see the little white dots in this picture?
Real. Life. SNOW!
So pretty and they were literally "snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes" I can finally identify with Maria...they definitely make it onto my list of 'favourite things' ;)
We caught the subway back up to Macy's for dinner...and found more snow along the way!
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!
Inside Macy's we found Stella 34 Trattoria, a yummy italian restaurant that had huge windows overlooking Herald Square so we could watch the snow fall outside :) It was practically perfect!
Oh, the food was also delicious!
Their pastry/dessert chefs were especially skilled...possibly the most elaborate ginger bread house I have ever seen! Some of the gingerbread men are roasting marshmallows on a fire!
Next we hopped back on the subway (we've just purchased an unlimited rides metrocard for the week...and as you have read we are already giving it a workout!) heading for Union Square and Hillsong NYC!
More snow!
And a welcome home :)
Church was great, with an amazing word from Robert Fergusson about prayer. Loved every minute!
11:30pm and were almost home for the night...but there was more snow fun to be had with our New York neighbours cars!
Hehehehehee!
LOVE:
