LETS GO KNICKS!!
Today we ticked off one of Nathan's dreams in New York City, live NBA.
Maddison Square Garden is absolutely HUGE! It was already fun and we were only riding the escalators to our level (which was almost the top)
GAME ON!
There was plenty to get the crowd pumped. Everytime the Memphis Grizzlies had possession a chant would start up 'DE-FENCE'. And there were a million different songs telling us to clap our hands and make some noise. Plus in every 'time our' break the whole New York Knicks cheer team would come out with air guns and shoot t-shirts into the crowd!
We were set after a half time snack run
Unfortunately the Knicks didn't win :( but it was a great game and they made an excellent almost-comeback in the last 10 minutes which made it all the more exciting!
Back in the real world it was almost time for a lottery. We tried for Book of Mormon tonight, with about 100 other people. Whilst we waited, we watched (wow, accidental alliteration) this street artist create a beautiful picture of the New York skyline with spray paint. Just stunning!
Back at the Book of Mormon, the outcome for us was very similar to the Knicks.
After walking to practically every other show on broadway we still lacked tickets! So instead we thought we would go for dinner at Bryant Park (with the ice-skating and markets)
The wait for ice-skating was insane! Thinking we might try earlier in the day sometime next week...otherwise we'll be waiting hours!
We did manage to score a spot for dinner at Âșcelsius in less than half-an-hour, which is very impressive!
With a view of the Christmas Tree and ice rink, we couldn't ask for much more :)
Although its a bad photo this poster sums up our night #wintervillage
We love it!

ReplyDeleteHi from Mum (Hedrick) Glad you got to see the NBA game. Just as well Godzilla wasn't there as well! Remember the movie where she laid all the eggs in Madison Square Gardens! Looks like you were safe from dinosaurs at the museum as well! Have Fun!
