JOLLY HAPPY SOULS

Happy Tuesday!
Rush tickets were in our favour and WE are seeing Spiderman tonight!
Happy happy Heddy's!
We took our smiles to Times Square which was emptier than usual because of all the snow! I think it just brings more fun, though unfortunately they do shut off the red stairs for safety reasons.
...but not to worry! Toys R Us is always open for fun!
 Optimus Prime!
Oversized Chocolate Sauce...which was, sadly, not real.
Back out in the snow...we planned to make the most of it and head to Central Park
At Columbus Circle we stumbled across some giant snails. Not quite sure what they are doing in the Big Apple...but Nath appreciated the slow-pace they encourage ;)
Nath also appreciated this work of art...
With coffee in hand (and beautiful light display in the background) we ventured back into the snow!
More markets?! All my Christmas' have come at once...these are located at the Columbus Circle entrance to Central Park. Loving it!
Eventually we made it inside the park. And we were ready to play!
Behind trees, on the swings, in the snow.

Then we decided to make an actual snow man.
(sorry other snow man...but you we're just a convenient lump with my sunnies and gloves on)
This time, it was legit. After much confusion, looking at other people's efforts being completely dumbfounded and almost giving up thinking "we actually cannot build a big snow ball...its impossible" we got it!
So stoked..and this was just the beginning!
A few more snow balls and cold hard work later...we present:
Little Fro
 We loved him instantly
...and so did everybody else. Pretty quickly a small crowd gathered (I am not even kidding!) and one man even asked if he could take some photos. It might have been the fact two adults were building a snow man acting like they have never seen snow before...or maybe he was just the best snowman ever. Either way, we're famous.
Conveniently for us, he was also willing to put his fancy camera down and snap us a family photo on my iPhone.
Frosty the snowman is a jolly happy soul....just look at that grin!
He is one of us ;)
After some quality time, the next step was to take him to the park to play on the swings with us! That is normal right?
Nath carried him to the fence.I climbed over so that Nath could safely pass him to me and climb over himself. Then I passed little fro back to Nath (he was quite heavy!) as I went over to the swings to claim a good one. Nath was about to put him on the swing when he stacked it! In a big way. Haha, he slipped on ice under the snow and because he was carrying fro he had no balance to prevent the fall and went down on his back. He tried to catch fro safely, but ah, didn't. Poor little guy.
Most importantly: Nathan was fine! It just took a while for us both to get up because we we're laughing so hard. We weren't the only ones in the Park and I think two adults carrying a snowman to the swing set is something everyone wanted to watch...at least we put on a show!
And then went to a show! Spider-man: Turn Off the Dark
It was fantastic, so much action and audience interaction! Spider-man spent half the show shooting webs and flying over us which was amazing to watch...and in one scene he showed up in about 30 different places in 30seconds! So clever!
Oh what a night!

  2. Hey there, you found the Botero statue with the shiny willy. That means you are very, very close to my favourite Chocolate shop, Godiva! Try the Orange in dark chocolate, it is the best, or maybe .... Seriously, you seem to be having the best time which is great.
